The Cutwater 30 lacks a 12v outlet (or 120v for that matter) on the port side of the forward berth. I've tried a few options (very long USB C cables under the bed, converting the lights to have USB charging outlets in them), but none of them are quite giving us the power that we need for my spouse on that side of the bed (65w min, 100w ideal). I'm debating installing a second 12v outlet on that side, somewhere. I have a few questions:
1) Have others done this? If so, how?
2) Can I somehow dock into the wiring for the light on that side, or do I need a separate run from the head fuse panel (would rather not do this)? I can increase the fuse amperage if needed (up to 10a on 16awg wire).
3) Can one safely drill through paneling to make a space for a mount ( will remove panel and investigate behind).
Ideas appreciated. thx!
