Hey folks. I’ve got a new one. Does anyone know why my transducer might be making a clicking sound? This is curious and new. There is antifreeze in the cup. Oddly when I remove the transducer head the clicking stops. When I put it back into The cup and cinch it down it starts clicking again. Thoughts?

Usually the clicking sound is the transducer sending out a ping and waiting for a return signal, you will notice it more when set to 50 hertz due to it being a stronger signal than the 200 setting. Most troubleshooting will have you listen for the clicking to ensure the unit is working.
Hope this helps. Bob

Agree with @Bobby P. However, take into consideration that mine failed shortly after the clicking became very audible.

Just to clarify, are you in the water or on the hard? Running the transducer on the hard can cause it to heat up and begin to burn out.
