Depth Sounder Failure 2014 R21EC

Hopefully, my battery issue is solved. But, I have another little problem. Because the house battery was flat, the Garmin GPS unit wouldn't engage the first time I tried it: low voltage. The first time I used the Garmin unit after replacing the house battery, everything worked normally. The next time I engaged the Garmin unit the depth function would not work. Said something to the effect the transducer was disconnected. The GPS function works fine. The depth transducer looks like a piece of a transom mounted transducer that was bonded to the inside of the hull using epoxy, or ??. Looking on the web didn't yield much info on trouble shooting the depth function of the Garmin unit. Any thoughts? Anyone?

Try disconnecting the power to the depth sounder box and the cable. Reinsert everything. This will reset the unit. Sometimes there is a fault that occurs and a reset fixes the problem.
