Depth sounder stopped working

My depth sounder worked fine during our sea trial and for the first couple of months then quit. Just reads 0 on the chart plotter display. Where is the transducer located on a 25sc? Could it be in need of repair or could it just fail permanently? Any other reason to not be producing readings?

I have a 2010 25SC. I had the same issue a few years ago and found that the transducer came unglued from the hull. The transducer is located on the starboard side near the stern. To gain access you need to remove the tray from the center cockpit seat, you will see the rudder actuator arm, the transducer should be below it. You will need to practically invert yourself to reach it unless you have 6' arms. If you find that it was glued to the hull the best fix is to purchase the fluid cup for it, affix the cup to the hull then fill the cup with the appropriate fluid. There are recent threads on this procedure on a R27.
