Winter and summer rains tend to leave water in the upright dinghy. A simple solution is to buy a half yard of terrycloth, its cheep and will wick the water right out of your dinghy, My wife suggested washing the terrycloth first to take the sizing out of the fabric for better absorption. The process is simple. Soak the fabric in the dingy and drape it over the side of the tube and let the process begin. After that it is automatic and will start every time water collects in the dinghy. Don't get impatient it is a slow process. I sewed some lead weights into the top of the fabric to keep it in the Dinghy, and some smaller weights in the bottom to hold the fabric against the tube. The weights also keep it in place on windy days. Double the cloth on itself for better wicking properties. If you can thread a needle and do a little stitching, you are in business. Yes, I cheated and used a sewing machine to finish the edges and put a grommet and a leash on the project so it will not go overboard. See photos are in my album. Enjoy Paul

Thanks Paul! I was just wondering about that.
