What diesel fuel additive should I use to maintain fuel quality? Tank is usually near full and in Seattle area. I use a gallon a year in one shot (Amazon) to maintain fuel injection, etc. I found teaspoon of crystal dirt at bottom of filter. Took metal filter jar apart in half by removing four screws. Two years ago there was an ounce of crystal dirt in metal jar. You won't see this just by removing paper filter. Added valve at bottom of jar for checking fuel quality.
(Don't remove bolts that hold fuel filter bracket onto wood block. There are hidden nuts that you won't be able to hold to tighten the bracket bolts)
Added Amazon valve: Moeller Fuel Tank Shut-Off Valve (1/4" FNPT, Male/Female, Brass)
Valve goes where existing pipe plug is at bottom center. Use plug on valve in case valve is accidentally turned on.
