Our 50lb dog has a hard time being comfortable in our rib not being able to get a grip. Do you all use raptor deck or something else to give the pup some grip?

1/4" Barn stall matting might be a good choice. You can buy by the foot at Tractor Supply or similar store.

Rubber door mat.

I've seen other boaters use scraps of outdoor carpet, too

We have two large dogs and previously used rubber shower/bath mats that would shift and wad up. We bought some adhesive decking on amazon that looks like raptor decking, my husband cut it in pieces to fit the dinghy, and it's been wonderful so far! Dogs no longer slip and feel more confident with better footing, we're not having to deal with the mats moving around, and it's adhered and held up beautifully so far. Cleans easily too. I can't post a photo but we think it looks pretty nice too.
