Dinghy Motor Mount on R23

I thought I'd share what I came up for mounting our dinghy motor. I didn't want to drill a hole anywhere and thought that the existing rail on the starboard side of the swim platform would work best. So bought some bimini fittings, sawed off a couple of pieces of 1' stainless tubing and voila!

Looks good! Where do you store your dinghy? What type of dinghy do you have?

We have a small Saturn SD230 we keep folded in its bag in the center lazerette. We discovered last summer we can pump the dinghy up and store on the swim step temporarily while moving between anchorages.

You might want to try this pump. Sure beats a hand pump. I can remove from storage, inflate and lunch the dink in 10 minutes. It can be reversed to deflate too!

Thanks Tony. Yes I see a pump in my future. It's getting harder and harder to pump by hand! 😀
