ron and Libby would like to attend.

Bob and Nita,
I'm afraid Robyn and I will not be joining you and the others after all. Too many things going on in our lives right now. Although the SLO RANGER is for sale, we continue to get out periodically, so keep us informed of informal get-togethers.
Have a great time and say hello to our friends.
Joe

We still have room for anyone who would like to attend a gathering of other tugnuts/cutwaters on Sept. 6 in Anacortes. We have reserved the big room upstairs at Village Pizza, just a walking distance from Cap Sante. Village Pizza is located at 807 Commercial Avenue and they have great salads along with really good pizza. They also have spaghetti, lasagna, and other delicious dishes. Our reservations are from 5-8 p.m.

Come and join the fun, meet other boaters, and share stories of boating experiences.

Bob:

My son is in midst of buying a house nearby to my home and will be needing my help during next few weeks. Thus, Gill & I & Laxey will unfortunately not be going to the RT meeting at Roche. We normally reserve the old Farm House just a mile before Roche for all of us to stay during the Roche GTG which helps distribute the cost over the 4 days. However, other items have arisen making that impossible.

Sorry for the late response.

Also, your kind offer for allowing my car+trailer to stay at Skyline will not be necessary. Again, thanks for setting that up.

As we've left it too late, all accommodations at Roche for Gill's overnight are booked and what's left is far too expensive. Gill simply cannot stay on Laxey overnight.

Enjoy the meeting at Roche... and fingers crossed for fair weather, no fog and calm seas in the Islands before, during and after the Roche GTG.

Thanks.... 🙂

To answer the question about launching. We launched from Bellingham's Squalicum Harbor marina. The marina has a nice ramp and it's 7 dollars for an in and out. The marina if you want dockage for an evening it's $20.25 for our 27 foot boat. Free parking for your truck and trailer. Mines been there almost month. Not a bad run to Friday harbor from there we used Peavine Pass. No ramp in Anacortes that I know of that's really suitable. They can sling you in for 55 dollars for an in and out at Cap Sante some have reported. Your trailer I think would have to have cutouts to get the slings thru while on the trailer. Anacortes does have complete rig parking for 5 dollars a day at least that's what they told us. We decided to use Bellingham after checking out Anacortes. But that's just us.

It is with regret that Elena and I have had to cancel our trip to the rendezvous. Elena has had trouble with her leg lately and I know that the walking involved would not be good for her condition. We will miss all the great people that we have met at the last three rendezvous. Ranger, along with others like you put on a fun time for all.
Hope to see everyone next year.
Don

Tug Toy regrets to inform that we have to cancel our rendezvous plans. There's an illness in the family and we can't get away for the duration. Say hi to everyone for us and we'll plan for more fun next year.

Bob & Loretta of Pocket Edition would like to join too.

Thanks Bob and Nita for organizing a fun evening.
