DM messages stay in my Outbox and do not send.

DMs dont work like email. When you send a DM, it stays in your Outbox until *the recipient reads the message*. So it is not like an email 'outbox' in that sense.
The message is 'sent' immediately and is waiting in the user's Inbox for them to read. Once they read it, it will be removed from your Outbox.
