Do Ranger Tugs have a built-in radar reflector ?

Can the Ranger Tug factory provide this posting with the details covering whether the Ranger Tugs are equipped with radar reflectors. If some have it and some not can these details be posted.

For example, I have an R-25 (Classic, 2010 model) purchased Aug 2009. Does it have a radar reflector ? The above Ref indicates one is located within the stack. Is this correct ?

I just had my stack off to run wiring for a new radar, and I can verify my 2008 R25 definitely has a radar reflector in the stack. Also A boating friend who was on the river the other night when I was out, indicated he was getting a strong reflection off my boat.

2008 is when we started putting radar reflectors in all the boats.

Thank you for the replies and confirmation that from 2008 radar reflectors were installed on all Ranger Tugs. I feel more comfortable knowing this. 🙂

Now I am really puzzled. When we bought our R25 in 2007 I was told that the main reason for the stack was that it housed a radar reflector. But Kenny says that this started in 2008. What's the real story?

Our first boat, Island Ranger, R-25 was a 2007, hull number 23 and did have a radar reflector installed. I'm pretty sure it was the second boat to have it installed because someone before me thought of it first.

R-25 2010: The Shearwater's (was Katnip) stack was off yesterday to relocate the anchor light and remove the radar mast so I could get under some low bridges. No problem.

But, I happened to look for the radar reflector - unless it is molded into the stack material, I can't find it in my stack.

Where is the radar reflector located on the 2010 R-25? Thanks /Stu
