How do you replace the bulbs for the dock lights? I have taken the screws out, but the fixture remained pretty tight and didn't want to force it. Is there a useful trick to this? In addition, could you tell me what bulb/s to purchase as I'd rather have them on hand when replacing them rather than running out afterwards.

Thanks!

Are you referring to the small lights along the port and starboard exterior walkway? On the 27 you need to remove the chrome cap using a utility knife between the cap and gelcoat and pry slightly. These are LED lights the whole unit needs to be replaced. Check your connections, they may have loosened and the light may still be good.

Thanks for the reply.
No, these are like headlights on both the port and starboard sides maybe a foot below the deck pointed forward and marked on the right hand panel of the pilothouse as dock lights. They are chromed, single led lights.

LED's almost never go bad. Suspect wiring first.

To replace the bulbs on the docking lights remove the fasteners and slowly pull the chrome bezel off. The guys in production would put in a bead of seal to help it from leaking. These bulbs are a halogen bulb MR16 is what the bulb says.

I don't see an issue with this. it looks just like the MR16 halogen bulb.

Ronnie thank you for your reply.
Just to make sure of terminology, you stated to pull off the chrome bezel after removing the fasteners. As I understand it, a chrome bezel is the ring around the light bulb itself. The fasteners are what holds the entire assembly against the hull. Do I need to remove the entire assembly or just the chrome bezel ring? If I need to remove the assembly, how do I do it without scratching anything? That in essence is my problem. How to get to it without causing damage to the gel coat. I'm just trying to not muck this up. I'm sure it's probably easy, but I've come away scratching my head as to how to proceed.
Thanks for your patience!
