For context, this is a thermostat on a 2025R 23 with the upgraded batteries
 
If it is velair brand rev cycle heat and a/c then I believe it uses wifi connection to your phone rather than Bluetooth. Yes an app.
We get our new Solara in less than a month and will know more then.
