Downloadable manual for Yanmar YM motor

This is fairly easy to download a service manual for your R21 engine and can be left on your
computer or printed. Myself I gave Yanmar the big bucks for a manual then when this came
up on the c brat site I put it on my laptop. Go to cascadeengine.com and click on manuals
and go from there. Has the required service info. Sometimes the translation to English
leaves a little doubt but can be done ok. Enjoy Bob Heselberg Eatonville

Thanks! It took a bit to download 84mb, but I was able to copy the manual for my 110 Yanmar.

Yep lifes good and you dont even have to print it out if you
take your laptop on the boat. That part I like so its always

My new boat, the Red Ranger, came with the printed manual -- along with a CD that has the manual in 12 languages!!!

What I really wish came with the printed manual is a DVD that shows how to do the routine maintenance chores we all need to learn how to do. In fact, I just wrote them a note suggesting they produce a whole series of videos that show consumers how to do all sorts of chores such as replacing an impeller, etc.

Now THOSE would be a real hit with current users and an added benefit for future consumers.

Yanmar has some videos of that nature on their web site, I think they're in the Services page.

My manual has two discs, one in front and one in back. It's on the boat so I can't check, but I think one of the discs contains videos showing maintenance being performed. When I go by the boat again I'll check and let you know.

I stand corrected. I didn't see the disc in the back of the manual. I just looked at it and it does give general info on how to maintain the engine.

In addition, I got an e-mail from Yanmar Marine HQ saying that dealers provide owner maintenance classes. They even gave me the name and phone number of the nearest dealer, Cascade Engine Dealer in Tukwila, so I can contact them about classes.

Very impressive customer service...
