Drone footage of my C-28

Those are both pretty awesome.

What drone brand/model did you use to get all that?

I asked him and he said it was a custom built FPV drone and it had a GoPro 11 strapped to it. It's not bad but something like a DJI Mavic Pro would have a lot better video quality.

Both are great videos. For my preference there is a tad too much rapid spinning of viewpoint in the second one, so my choice would be the first.

Buying a drone is on my bucket list so up for suggestions on the best one to buy. I want to do similar videos of boating experiences but also nervous about flying the drone over water then landing it back on the boat at a different location. Also bringing down on the back cockpit with a Bimini.

My son flies his drone off my R-27 with a Bimini successfully. But, he has learned that he has to back it into the cockpit due to the anti-collision software in the drone. It won't come in with forward flight. He very slowly and carefully backs it into the cockpit area about chest high and then plucks the bird out of the air with his free hand. On occasion he has had contact with a prop and a finger which can cause some discomfort! The video is worth it!

Stay safe.

for a starter, the smallest DJI spark is pretty great.

completely separate, I see you are traveling with the cockpit seat facing backward. not that there is anything wrong with that It just looks funny to me as I don't think in 8 years of ownership I have ever done that! 😀

Yeah after I saw the video, I was thinking I should have moved the seat as the boat looks better and I have the name on the back too. But, I keep my lines in the seat locker so it's frequently left facing rear-ward. I suppose now that I think about it, that is kinda weird.

Where do you keep your lines on your C-28?
