We've had a drought here in West Central Ohio for some time now and it's started to affect the level of water in our lake.

Today I put the Get~Aweigh on the trailer and will be taking it to Lake Erie Monday. When I came out of our channel toward the main lake I had 1 foot of water under the keel. I'll leave my pontoon boat in the water here for the grand-kids to use but my precious R-25 won't be back in the lake here until I see the water start to rise again.

Two weeks ago I made the original post in this thread about how the drought had affected our lake level and that I was moving our R-25 to Lake Erie. Well, after an exchange of emails and telephone conversations with the only other R-25 owner in Ohio, Mike of Just Dreamin', met me at East Harbor in Lakeside-Marblehead yesterday and helped me get the Get~Aweigh in her new slip.

What I like about TugNuts is the way that a community of Ranger Tug owners exists across thousands of miles. Someone like me with a boat in the Midwest has a network of owners, factory reps, and dealers to learn from. And in this case, Mike reached out and offered advice on marinas near Port Clinton, his experience there, and his assistance when I was ready to launch the boat and move it to its' slip. We met yesterday morning, got the boat moved and the canvas up before the rain and got to know each other. He's the first Tugnuts member I've met face to face and if he's typical, then this is a great group of people.

Here's photos of the two R-25's now residing in East Harbor on Lake Erie near Marblehead Ohio. And I've already been asked questions about my boat. Just as it did on our lake, it draws lot's of admirers.
