Ease of accessing rear of VHF radio on the R-23 ?

Subject: Ease of accessing rear of VHF radio on the R-23 ?

How easy is it (and is it possible) to get at the back of the VHF radio to access its backside ports/connectors ? I ask as I believe an AIS 300 device can be connected to the radio to share the VHF antenna much like can be done on the other Ranger Tugs.
