EC21 Bilge Pump

When the float switch activates the bilge pump it blows the 5A bilge pump fuse mounted in the battery compartment, the cabin mounted bilge pump switch operates the pump with no problem.

Sounds like a fault in the bilge switch that is shorting out. As the manual switch operates the pump, there is no fault in the pump. Can you pull the wires from the bilge switch and short them to operate the pump without blowing the fuse? hat will narrow the problem.
