The other day went to open the engine hatch on our 2010 R29. Ours is an electrical not hydraulic ram and we had just installed all new batteries. It went up in short increments, turning the rocker switch off and on, same going down. In checking the wiring to the ram the power leads were connected and there were two loose wires, a red and blue. Found a rusted connector in the bilge and tried shorting the two wires together. Hatch went up and down normally. Checked the documentation and it said those two wires were to be tied together at installation. The way the wires were tied together was a two position terminal strip and both wires had rusted off. The strip is open with no real weather protection. The wires are now tied together with a heat shrink connector.
Haven’t seen any reference to this problem just wanted to pass it on for information
