Enclosure Box For Cabin Speakers- R27

The Fusion sound system speakers in my 2012 R27 do not have any sort of enclosure on the back of the speaker. They’re just wide open. I can’t help but think the sound would be enhanced by enclosing the back of the speaker. I’m considering making an enclosure for them. Has anybody made one for their speakers?

There are a number of interesting articles if you google speaker enclosures or box. Seems to depend on the type of speaker and the amount of room for a box. Also note that automobile speakers are generally not in a box either so there may be some reason for that such as the type of speaker. Reading the articles seems to indicate that in some cases it enhances the sound and others it may damage the speaker due to the reduced amount of room.
