I just replaced my zincs on our 2010 R25 with 4BY150 as I do at least once a year. Breaking tradition the lower engine zinc was a breeze to change. The upper one was seized requiring and attack with alternating Blaster and vice grips after the brass head rounded off.
Is it OK to use anti-seize compound on the brass head? Will it interfere with function? Thanks.

If the engine anode cannot be extracted easily it has quite likely been over tightened or the copper washer sealer was not used. Those anodes do not need to be tightened down aggressively.

Will the anti-seize interfere with the anode function? I guess that depends on the anti-seize used. The key point is that the brass head must make a good electrical contact the engine. After using the anti-seize one could use an ohmmeter to test for good conductivity.
