I have read on this forum that the reservoir for this pump is in the stern under the back seat on my 2014 c28 cutwater. However, I have opened the hatch under the seat and peered through the 2 round door hatches within the plastic insert and cannot, for the life of me, see any reservoir. I see the pump where all of the hoses go and see the plastic housing over the pump but see no reservoir? Some have suggested that you remove the plastic insert. Are we talking the full plastic tray (held in place by 4 screws as well as the forward plastic 'plate' below and forward of the rear seat as what is needed to access the reservoir?

Edited - We’ve got a 2020 C28, and you have to remove the rectangular plastic cover over the tank to be able to add fluid to it. It just snaps on and off. It was tough to see the fluid level though - having a flashlight will help. And a long neck funnel if you need to add fluid. I can send a picture or two of ours if you want. (thanks JimV for the video)

Jon,

If your trim tab system is a bennett, then the pump and reservoir is all one unit. You have to remove the one screw on the top of the unit, remove the plastic cover and the fill opening is exposed. The opening for the fill is SMALL - you'll need a funnel.
Also, the entire unit slides down into the holddown bracket from the top, and (assuming you have the vertical clearance) can simply be lifted up out of the bracket. Then you can reposition for best access within the range the slack of the hoses and electrical harness will allow.
Here is a good overview video of the bennett system: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7E1kp7gPtz8

Thank you for your response. Clearly I need to remove the plastic insert under the seat to gain access.
