Does anybody here have experience with or comments about this wireless kill switch http://www.killcord.co.uk/ ? I do a good bit of solo boating, and one of my worst fears is going overboard underway and watching Gadget disappear over the horizon.

A friend of mine uses another system on his twin Volvo diesel sportfisher, autotether. http://www.autotether.com/
He's had it a few years now and has not had any issues although he hasn't fallen overboard yet.
The company is located in CT. The kill switch on the Yanmar would have to be changed for this to work on a Yanmar which the company can provide at additional costs. I would contact the company directly regarding your application.

One of them uses the interrupter switch as interface that comes on many smaller boats by which a plastic tether is connected between you and the boat. When that tether is removed ignition is interrupted. They added a wireless interface to this system. This would not work on rangers

The second one interfaces with the engine and a wireless transmitter and is probably doable on rangers

If you are out there alone you MUST have some form of safety that will stop the engine.
