Good Morning:

Currently shaking down all the systems on Tingira. The aft bilge pump (Rule Model 27SA 1100 GPH) will come on when I manually activate at the helm. I then tested the automatic float turn on by filling the bilge with water and nothing happened. I took the pump out and cleaned - did not see any sensors and reinstalled. It still goes on manually but not automatic.

Appreciate any advice as I suspect I am missing a step.

The manual switch is on a separate power circuit than the auto sense/float. Check the fuse for the auto switch. It should be right near the main battery switches.

I believe that is one of the fuses the factory does not install, they leave it up to the dealer, perhaps it wasn't installed.

I am having exactly the same issue with the bilge pump in my 2014 R 21EC. I have checked the fuse and replaced it even though it was ok, and cleaned the sensor buttons with Simply Green (no effect) and then Dawn Ultra (also no effect) but I am still having to turn on the bilge manually. The dealer is going to replace the pump and sensor with a different configuration.
Considering going back to the old style float sensor instead of the electronic versions.

I spoke to Ivan Guzman of Ranger Tugs who diagnosed the problem which was 5 AMP fuses which should be 7.5 AMP. Switched them out and we were back in business. FYI - you can't clean the sensors on this pump - all internal.

This is the reason why we bought a Ranger Tug - active owner's community and OUTSTANDING factory support.

Thanks to all!!!

Mike
