Hello all! My wife and I are scheduled to pick up our new (to us) 2015, 21-EC on Monday and we could not be more excited. It's the first boat we've ever owned and we are looking forward to taking on some adventure in the panhandle of Florida. We live in Navarre FL and plan to be in Destin and Pensacola fairly regularly. Really appreciate all the people on this blog who helped us make up our mind after reading about all of your experiences and adventures. Pumped to be part of the community!

Jury is still out on a name... But thinking maybe "Old Soul" or "S.S. Minnow Johnson" (bonus points if you get the movie reference  ). We'll post an update once we land on something but please feel free tp make any suggestions that come to mind.

If you're in the Panhandle of Florida please comment below. We are thinking about trying to arrange for a meetup if there are more than just one or two of us close by. Cheers!

Congratulations on your “new” boat. As a previous owner of a 2009 R-21EC we know you’re going to have a lot of fun in this area. There’s lot to explore and you’ll get a lot of attention in your Tug. We just sold our 21 and upgraded to the 23. Hopefully we’ll see y’all on the water. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us. Highly recommend you explore Big Sabine as a start.
Cheers,
Capt’nKarl

Welcome.......you have picked a great first boat......good baptism to down sized trawler life with simple systems for your nautical education and enjoyment. Many consider the 21 as a beginning point and step up.......others find it to be their long term soul mate.....and some downsize to the 21 in the later stages of boating. This site is a wealth of knowledge.....use the search feature......and ask questions. We will be waiting to hear of your exploits.....enjoy!

Congrats! I can relate to your excitement, we bought our R-23 just last year. Welcome to the community, lots of good people and info here. As for the boat name, how about - BattleBorn  . It has a nice ring to it and is unique. Cheers! -Norm

Congratulations and welcome to R-21 boating. We have the same year R21, so if you have questions, feel free to ask.

Well, unfortunately it looks like I counted my chickens before they were hatched... Regrettably the seller backed out of the deal at the last minute. Super disappointing but I guess the search continues. I'll be checking the 'for sale' section of this forum but if anyone has anyone they know is selling in the panhandle area, please let me know. Either way, thanks for the warm welcome!

DAMN! The cute one got away, don't worry boats are a lot like women and busses, seems like another one comes by every 15 to 20 minutes. Good luck on your hunt and don't give up. Bob

Well, all of the positive vibes must have worked!!! The previous owner and I were able to work everything out after a long exhausting weekend of conversations and I brought her home yesterday evening!!! Pictures will be posted in my profile soon. Going to get her registered and take her out for a maiden voyage this weekend! See everyone out there.

Congratulations. Was your tug in Perdido Key
at Edgewater Yachts by chance? We were there for a week in early June picking up our new to us 2015 Cutwater 30CB. Enjoying our Mystic Turtle now in Hilton Head Island.

No, we found ours in a private sale in Mississippi. We plan to visit Perdido key though.

We're thinking 'Knot So Fast' for a name

Congratulations! I'm glad you got her, love the name (KNOT SO FAST) might I recommend a slow moving vehicle sign with a knot in the middle for a logo. Any way good luck. Bob

Clever logo Bob....I imediately pictured a box turtle with a bowline knot emblazoned on the shell for the burgee on Knot So Fast.....but yours would be more simple.......

Again Battleborn..congrats....you will love it...............
