Hello All;
The wet exhaust hoses on my 2006 R21-EC are looking pretty tired; lots of cracks and weathering visible. The boat is equipped with the Yanmar 30. I am going to replace both sections and was looking for tips or advice on selecting the new hose and the install. The looped hose section looks like a challenge! I was thinking about using this product;

Hello,

That looks like it work just fine, be sure you get the correct diameter and I would recommend buying a foot or more for extra just in case.

Thanks,

I changed to what you are suggesting on my 2007 R-25 with a Yanmar 150HP and it works better than the original. Definitely a good choice.

I used the Newline hose for the job and it turned out fine. It was almost easier installing the new hose, as it is more flexible. I ended up cutting the old hose in 3 pieces to remove it. I have already put about 5 hours on the new hose with no issues. So I am giving a thumbs up for the Newline NL4970. If you order it online, the price for the 2" i.d. is about $12/foot CAD plus tax.
