Any of you boat washers out there have any luck with a particular brand of expandable hose?

Thanks,

Bruce

I went through several of the "expanding" hoses and truly never found one I liked. However, the one hose I found that I absolutely love and have purchased several more for home is called Zero-G. While it is not "technically" an expanding hose, the material is a very thin membrane that is incredibly strong and has no grain so it coils just like line. So that while it does not expand and contract with water pressure, it flattens out and stores nicely in a small area.

I think I purchased mine at Lowes or Home Depot. About $40 for a 50 foot length.

Cheers,
Mark

I can't remember the brand, but the big brass fittings and a heavy duty black jacket has done well for couple of years now.

stay away from plastic and cheap green fabric jacket.

Zero G gets my vote too! Light weight, non-marking, and folds up small.

Note that most of these hoses are not for potable water. Shouldn't fill tanks with them. Great for hosing off things.

Zero G works great! They do have a version that is drinking water safe for filling your tank. Available on Amazon and at West Marine.

Thanks for the multiple thumbs up for the Zero G. I won't be using it for potable water, but I see both of these are rated safe.

Zero-G Pro Looks like it would hold up better being dragged across docks.

Zero-G

Any preference or experience with the Pro version?

Thanks again,

Bruce

Bruce, here's my 2 cents...

I have a 50', potable water safe hose by Handi-Hose that rolls up flat in its dedicated caddy (12"x12"x1.5")... it's worked well for me over the years.
