Expensive Battery Thoughts

That’s right you changed to Lithium

Part of the issue I’m having is all the 31’s have the round terminals - the boats current batters have spade/tab terminals -

Do they make these in tin plated copper?
In salt water, exposed copper is going to corrode, cause resistance and get hot. All bad.

I don’t believe so. I’ve not had any corrosion issues.

I just finished the universal ones from the factory - at a good price from Amazon

I did find some surprises - water in one of the aft trays from most likely a poor hatch gasket - and on the start battery the connection was a little loose and the nylon in the lock nut had melted .

Also found the second channel on the solar controller was out - no idea why but ordered a new sun saver duo.

Was talking with my tech and I asked is there a way to check discrete battery voltage - reply was not so easy with the dual ACR’s - not easily - easy way is just squirm and do each batt by mm

ACRs only close when charge current is present, so measuring the state of charge when resting is relatively straightforward.

Thanks - but my thought was it would be nice to have a rotary switch to a meter for each battery…

To monitor individual battery banks, I use the Victron Battery Sense on the Thruster, Starter and House. Relatively inexpensive way to monitor the individual battery banks using an app on your phone or tablet.
