Hi, We would like to swap a week in September in the Chesapeake or New York area on your Tug (25 or larger) for a week in the upcoming Winter of 2016 in Florida on our R-25. She is in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area, very near Biscayne Bay and prime cruising in the Keys.

We will provide a week on a clean, well maintained R-25 in the Winter for an equivalent week in September on your boat.

We get a week away from the hurricane season in the best time of the year on the Chesapeake and you get the same in the Miami/Keys area.

Interesting concept...

My eldest daughter employs AirBNB to rent her small 30' sailboat for periods when not in use. Last month she cleared a tad over $1000. She charges $68/night and AirBNB takes $2 of this and supplies her with a 1099R at end of year for IRS tax purposes. When I say rent, this means just for sleeping on the boat and not sailing it. The sailboat sleeps 4.

It has amazed me how well this is working for her and people enquire from around the world who just want an inexpensive way to have when visiting areas. They only want a roof over their heads overnight. Plus, it's an adventure and the aspect of using a sailboat for a few days overnight apparently is very attractive to some people. She does not allow cooking but does provide Wi-Fi, clean sheets and a very tidy boat.

Baz,

I'm not interested in a rental or charter - as much as I am interested in a week in the Chesapeake in swap for a week in the winter on my boat. Thanks for the idea. /Stu
