The volume on our TV's in the R-29 are not very loud even when it is turned all the way up to 100. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions on what type of external speakers we can hook up? Thanks

I have an early twenty-nine (2009). I put in a second TV installed in the same place as Ranger put theirs under the overhead stowage behind the windshield. As part of the installation, I added a cable which connects to the external speaker connection which I run to the stero installed above the refrigerator. I use the radio to connect the speakers inside the boat as well as in the cockpit to the TV. I use the balance and the fade to adjust the sound where I want it.
I hope this all makes sense, its very late and I can't sleep tonight.

We have a pair of Nokia Play 360 Bluetooth Speakers. I connect one (left channel) to the earphone jack and it controls the right channel, placed on the dash. Volume and sound quality are vastly improved. They have good (about 10 hours) rechargeable batteries and have also come in handy on the boat when on the hook. We can have good music anywhere on the boat without using the house battery, using an iPod, phone or computer as the source.

We also travel with them. They sound better than most hotel or condo offerings. There are plenty of brand and style options to choose from.

Cheers,

Bruce

We also found the tv volume deficient on our 2013 R29. I removed the shelves in the v birth cabinet, connected RCA cables to Aux in on the back of the Fusion, used a Y connector to continue a single cable up around the starboard windshield and to the audio out on the tv. The cable is not visable, and the project took an hour. Sound is great, but I have to remember to turn off cockpit speakers so our dockmates don't have to listen to our movies at midnight.

we have a battery powered Boze speaker that has an audio in. hooked it to the earphone jack on the tv and it is great. the idea of hooking to the fusion will be investigated next.

thanks for the tips - Hugo
