Someone once told me everything is negotiable, and from the large number of boats that seem to be hitting the market, negotiating may be a decent option at this time. As for a percentage off of the listed price start with a low number and work up to where both parties are comfortable with the price.

The best negotiation words that I have heard are:
“Would you consider taking XXXX dollars for the boat?”
This way it sounds kind and not abrupt.
