What is the factory recommendation for replacing the Yanmar 3YM30 panel on a Ranger 21?
I would love to add actual gauges for temperature and oil given the space allowed by the original "B" panel.
Do you have a recommendation for a Yanmar supplier in Washington State?

Thank you,
Harley

Harley, you might want to check/shearch past posts of installation of gauges on R-21's. The easiest way is via a NMEA-2000 system and place the gauges where you can actually see them! I have thought of placement under wood trim on center window, my clock, camera monitor and soon to install auto pilot is mounted on wood piece above center window, but a good location for most owners. Another option is fwd of wiper motor for center window, but is another head knocked when getting out on bed!
Good luck with your modification and please post pictures when complete. Bob

Hey there Harley,

Since we never really got into adding additional gauges from the factory I don't know how much help we will be. I would reach out to Cascade Engine Center for this advice. They're located in Kent and can be reached at 253.867.2000

Thanks,
-Kenny

I ordered a panel from AC DC Marine....They setup with water temp and oil pressure gauges and a NMEA VDO tach that will feed the Garmin Nav if I add the cable for it. I have wired it up (had to cut the YANMAR harness.....a bit scary to do) but with the wiring up directions and amazing tech support for AC DC it actually all works fine. I just still have to install the new oil pressure sender (the stock one is switch only for idiot lights on old panel) and the new sender is too big
to fit next to the oil drain, so I am waiting to put a little extender pipe or "T" to get the room to fit it in.
I will let it run a while on its own before adding the cable to the Garmin Nav.
