Thanks to everyone who has responded to my previous posts. We are getting closer to getting our boat in the water but still have a few issues to tackle first. I'm curious if anyone has a good answer to this problem. I have removed all traces of the previous boat name, as is the tradition in renaming a boat, and will be putting the new name on after the christening ceremony Saturday. On the hull where the old lettering was remoed the gelcoat has not faded to the color of the surrounding hull. I've tried some mild hull cleaner and wax but can still easily see where the old numbers are against the rest of the hull. Any suggestions to get the nonfaded letters to better match the slightly faded hull?
thanks again,
