What is the simplest way to disconnect batteries for winter storage without having to disconnect a cable from every single battery?
If water drains out of engine intake during winter storage in a heated facility, will the engine self prime at Spring launch at first start up?

Thanks,
Marnis

You could turn off all the switches and then pull the fuses from the items that remain functional that are wired before the switches. This would be the CO detector, Fusion Radio, Bilge pumps, Auto Pilot. However, I find that the removal of the battery cables is the time to service your terminals and clean everything up. So either do it now or later when you have a continuity problem. And no worries about the priming on your raw water. When you set it in the water, open the valve and loosen the strainer lid a bit to let water flow in and some air escape. Tighten it up and you are golden. You most likely won't even have to do that, but to ensure your impeller is not running completely dry for a few seconds this will ensure you have water in the system ready to go.
