Hello I just bought a ranger 27 and I will be leaving it in the water all year and I want to make sure that I keep the inside warm air circulating so I thinking about buying a Caframo warm air stor-dry.I live in Washington state.
My question is should buy one with a fan or not.

Thanks

Jim

I feel that air circulation is important for reducing mildew. I'd go with the fan.

yes....go for the fan model is my advice. I run two; one in the head enclosure and one under dinette table during winter time with my boat in the water.

The Caframo 9406 uses a fan. I'm not aware of one without a fan. I use one plugged into the outlet in the head and set it on the floor in front of the V-berth. It does not actually keep the cabin "warm", but it contributes to the overall warmth in the cabin. When I took our boat out today, it was 47 degrees in Gig Harbor where it is moored, but the temperature in the cabin was 57 degrees. I've thought about a second one per the preceding reponses, but so far, one seems to do the job. I may change my mind depending upon the long-term weather forecast.

Get two of them!

Air circulation is important.....

Does anyone use the chlorine dioxide slow release packets during layup? I have used Starbrite NosGuard 10gram packets in vehicles and boats with very good results.

I use one Caframo in the cabin with the door to the head propped open. A second Caframo is in the engine compartment. This year I am running a dehumidifier on auto, set for 50% RH, in the cabin. Electricity cost from the marina is about $40 per month. Worth every cent!
