Fender racks - to do or not?

We are wondering about getting fender racks and what the prevailing opinion is about them. I am a bit concerned that they will encroach too much on the walking area near the bow? Opinions? Placement? Seems like it could block the view also - but we do have a helm door. I appreciate any input or experience you have. We have a RT31CB

I put a double rack for large fenders on the port bow rail of my C28. It obstructs the walkway a little but not a big issue. I Initially mounted it on the starboard side and realized it obstructed view from helm. It's worth having it to open up storage space in the cockpit lockers

I put fender racks on the swim step rail on my 2014 R31S. Works great. No obstruction of view.

We keep our fenders under the solar panel.
