We placed our order for a R-27OB the end of July 2017. After much impatient waiting, a few delivery issues, and a few issues still to be resolved.... finally, a bright shiny Claret Red 2018 R-27OB is sitting in our driveway. 🙂 I know, pictures or it didn't happen. I hope to have them downloaded from the 2 camera's we used and posted tomorrow. We have about 10 hrs on the boat and I am still trying to convince the First Mate to travel at 25mph rather than 10 mph, since the boat gets better mileage at 25 than it does at 10. When she is at the helm, she wants to travel at either 10-12 mph or 35-38 mph, the two least economical speed ranges. We are loving the boat and can't wait to explore new waters this weekend. We may be scheduling our 20 hr service after having the boat for less than two weeks.

Congratulations on your new Tug!! We just picked our new R-27 last week. In fact we are relaxing on it right now!!

In case anybody was curious, here are some of the pictures we took of our R-27OB when we went for our 'sea trial' and getting ready to bring it home. Last picture is the boat in the turn around in front of the storage building I have started to build to store the boat in. I hope the link works properly.

Hey, Congratulations on the new boat!

Jim: Well done and I know it's been a long wait for you.

I note the extensions for the squared off enclosure..... BTW, how has that worked out ? Will your dealer be installing the enclosure for you. I await to see how the squared-ff back looks.

I note your VHF antenna is located on port side whereas on my boat it's on the starboard side. Was this a change you required ?

The Claret Red looks absolutely awesome....

Is it that 1st Mate moves the boat at 10 mph or the 35-38 mph due to the throttle lever being too stiff. Being too stiff does cause one to go faster than intended IMO.

What have you done about A/C ?

Take care and enjoy that wonderful looking RT-27/OB.
