First trip and Custom question

Well, we think we are ready for the Desolation Sound trip. Just 2 questions for newbies - so far. We read through the Customs Rules going into Canada. When they say you can only bring a certain amount of alcohol across are they saying per person or per boat? And is it best to get the Canadian cash here that we might need or do that across the border?

Amount of alcohol is per person. Use a credit card, accepted everywhere. Use US $$ get change in Loonies....try to spend them all before you return or save them for the next trip.
