First Voyage

Our new, Blue R 27 " Beyond" has made its first voyage from Anacortes to Friday Harbor and now sits in slip H-4. We are living aboard for the summer and hope to meet many of the Ranger family. If you are in Friday Harbor, please stop by and see if we are in port. We would love to see you.

I also just read your prior post about recommendations for places to go and would like to add Victoria, B.C. if you have passports. It's my favorite liberty port in the Northwest, and only about two hours cruising from Friday Harbor. We'll be heading there June 17th from Anacortes. Maybe we'll see you along the way.

It was nice meeting you on Tuesday this week when went went to Friday Harbor for lunch. Have a great time exploring the area this summer. Friday Harbor is an excellent base. You will love it!

Congrats! My wife (Teri) and I just took ownership of our 27' Ranger. I will pick it up this Sunday and moor it in our slip on Lake Washington. I can't wait to get familiar on the operations and handling characteristics because we are eager to make our maiden trip to the San Juans and beyond! Hope to see you sometime!

Congratulations! Friday Harbor is a great place, with a friendly liveaboard community. We spent 3 summers living on our boat in the Port of Friday Harbor - groceries and restaurants in easy walking distance. Boat services available. Music in the park on Tuesdays and Sundays. It can get hectic and noisy with the weekend crowds - just a heads up - compared to the peace and quiet before Memorial Day.

Easy access to some great cruising, when you decide to untie the dock lines. Mid-week excursions to Victoria are great, staying at the Inner Harbour. Or, head up to Poet's Cove in Bedwell Harbour for an overnight and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. Anchor overnight at either protected harbor on Stuart Island for some good hiking.
