Fluid brands and amounts for maitenance

Hello,

I’ve finally found someone to do a yearly maitenance on my Ranger tug. However, they asked me to buy my own supplies.
I was able to figure out the filters etc from forum searches. However, I can’t seem to nail down which fluids are needed and if specific brands matter. I’m sure this has been discussed before but I haven’t had luck in searching the forum.
Maitenance is Monday so if anyone has a bookmarked post they could share I’d appreciate it.

I'm assuming you have a D4. I would check the Owner's manual here https://www.volvopenta.com/marineleisur ... books.html. It should give you full details on maintenance including oil specifics and quantities.

Volvo is fine with using a different oil than their branded oil if it meets their specs. Apparently it’s pretty important to use their branded coolant though. Using the wrong coolant can wreak havoc.
