Hey All -

I think I may need to fold my bridge back for the first time. I plan to have someone trailer it on road and think it will need to be folded back to meet height requirements. Has anyone done this on their Cutwater 30 CB? Do I need to fold it back or just lower the radar?
I am not sure of the process, sequence, how many people I will need, etc. Any help before I go messing with it would be great.

Thanks!

Hey Skipper, While I've not lowered mine bridge (can't really with the enclosure), I've lowered my radar assembly for swapping out the anchor light with an LED, and I also have a general understanding of the process for the bridge.

1) remove all the pins for the aft seat / radar assembly (except the aft one you use to lower it)
2) fold the sides of the seats down
3) go down to the cockpit and undo the pin that holds the aft stay in place (you might need a step stool)
4) lower the radar assembly and reattach the aft stay in place to the lower mount (its gas assisted so it should not be heavy, assuming your gas shocks have not failed/seized)
5) release the two flip locks on the legs that hold the flybridge helm up
6) flip them out, and the gas shocks should lower the bridge down automatically

this youtube video walks through the process step by step starting at about 28:30.
