Folding frame top?

Hey, there!

I'm looking for anyone who has designed a workable folding top for the back of their 2005 - 2006 R-21. I'd like to have at least part of capable of folding (canvas and frame) back.

We found these parts online and are looking into the options, but thought we'd ask if someone had already done something similar first:

Once you add up all the pieces, it's going to be pricey? Get a quote from a canvas guy in your area, maybe it's cheaper or very close in price. IMO, it will look better, if made from bent tubing vs. all those pieces. I would at least check.

The factory made a bimini top for our R21-EC that also has camper canvas. To accommodate the camper canvas, they had to add an extra section at the stern so the camper canvas can go straight down after the bench seat. My bimini consists of three sections. The center section folds sort of like an umbrella (if you will). The forward section connects the middle section to the cabin. The aft section zips to the middle section. What is neat about the aft section is, with it up I get full sun protection in the cockpit, or with it down, it gives me room for fishing. It only takes a minute to take the aft section up or down.

This configuration works good for us. The factory's design, materials and workmanship are outstanding. Far superior than any other boat I have had.

I will post photos once we get something done ( ... seems to be the hardest around here).
