:?:
On my MY2010 R25 with a Yanmar 150 HP engine I'm interested in knowing if fresh water or salt water is passed through the cabin heater unit located under the helmsman's feet ?
I'm aware that raw/salt water is used to transfer heat from the engine's closed fresh water system and this must be done using a heat transfer exchange.
If the helm located cabin heater uses the fresh water engine cooling system then I assume that if the engine shows signs of over heating that operating the cabin heater will help in lowering the engine temperature -- much like in a car's cooling system.
