I am intending to install a filtering system in my R25.
I picked up a two filter chambered unit from Home Depot, around $150.

The unit connects to the cold water supply under the sink and channels a 1/4" line of water to the two tube filters.
The filtered water then passes up to a "small faucet" (provided) that I have to install along side the sink.

My question is this, when I turn on this "small faucet" where is the water pressure coming from?

I expect there is a pump somewhere along in the system that is activated when the sink's faucet is pressed on, but will the system activate that same pressure when I turn on that newly installed faucet?

Believe this will work fine. The pressure pump is immediately downstream of the water tank outlet.

Any water flow on the exit side of the pump will activate the pump pressure switch turning the pump on.

I have a similar unit that was recently installed. Yes, it works fine, and I love getting good tasting water from the tank!
