When I turn the water tank switch on nothing happens. I tried resetting breaker. Nothing. The water tank is full.
I looked up under the switches...all wires look tight. The light on the switch comes on so I imagine its not a bad switch or breaker. Any thoughts on this? Its a new boat and this was first trip out.
Thanks

Unbelievably, I had the same problem and finally found the strainer at the faucet was packed with sediment. An easy fix if that's what it is.

Here are a couple things I would do if diagnosing the problem.

1. Ensure that the light on the switch comes on. If the light on the switch does not light up, I would check the push in breaker next to it to ensure it didnt trip.

2. If all of the above works, I would check power to the pump itself with a volt meter.

3. If you do not have power to the pump, then it would have to be something disconnected or an issue at the switch.

4. If you do have power to the pump, then it would have to be something with the pump or simply a clogged line not allowing water to get through the pump.

I have had a problem with the Kitchen sink fauset clogging often. Appears to be white plastic power. Once cleaned out sink works OK. Probably from drilling and plumping the tank. Funny the white stuff never makes to sink/shower in head. My boat does not appear to have a suction filter on the water pump (unless one of you know different). A previous RV had one and it clogged often. I think the white power also sometimes fouls the check valve causing pump to cycle on and off when not in use.

I had the same problem with mine. There is a small strainer in the fitting where the head and hose screw together. Once I cleared it out there was plenty of water. I did not have this problem with the head sink only the Galley sink.

Thanks all for info. I can not hear pump running at all. When your pump runs can you hear it?
Im thinking its an unhooked wire. The switch lights up but no water. And no noise.

Well, I did not see if you mentioned that you got no water at all from anywhere. The pump will only run when the preassure goes down (when using the water) so if your strainer is plugged and water can't get out, the pump won't go on. If you suspect it is the pump why not disconnect the hose feeding the faucets at the pump and see if it goes on, if it does then you have a clog in the line. If it does not then try hot wirng the pump directly to the battery and see if it goes on. If it does then you definitely have a loose connection somewhere and I would first look to see that the wire is connected to the breaker behind the panel, sometimes they can loosen up. If the pump won't go on after you hot wire it, you may have a bad pump. I hope this helps.

Its working now. I took the top plate off pump. Although nothing is exposed I imagine its just a splash plate. But behold...when I put it back on it worked. Maybe wires were pinched or just needed jiggled around?
Any way it works and really puts out the water. Thanks for all help and suggestions.
