Fresh water overflow hose

I'm having a hard time finding a replacement for the rubber hose running from the top of the fresh water tank to the plastic overflow tank. The one on my engine has bruned part-way through because it apparently came into contact with something hot on the engine. When I asked a Yanmar dealer about it they looked at me like I was cross-eyed. I went to Canadian Tire, and the closest thing they could come up with was a hose for a windshield washer. It looks pretty much identical to the original, but it is not rated for hot water use. I'm assuming that the water in the overflow tank doesn't actually get that hot. But I'd like to know if this is an adequate replacement, or if there is something else I should be looking for.
 
I would go to a West Marine as they sell a big assortment of hoses for this kind of thing. That all comes with a kit when we purchase the engines here. I am assuming you have an R21
 
No, it's an R25 (#11). One of the few I think with a Yanmar 125 - which I've concluded makes the installation somewhat different.
 
Might be a good one to call the factory and talk with John Livingston about. I am not familiar with that arrangement. :?
