I have to replace my fresh water Johnson pump on my R-29. I have been told that I must remove refrigerator and then access is easy. I am skeptical. Has anyone done the replacement and is it easy? Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has successfully completed the replacement.; Thanks. Jerry

Ours is located in the forward engine hatch just inside the cabin door. What year is yours?

Mine is also located under the front hatch. Also my wash down pump is the same exact pump . I do not use the wash down pump very much and is avalible to swap out if necessary with the fresh water pump in a pinch

Our R-29 is a 2009 and the fresh water pump is located in the forward engine hatch. It is a bit tough to get to if you have the generator set but can be done by kneeling on the steps of the cave and "diving" into the hatch. Use a heat gun to soften the hoses a bit and they will come off easily. Recommend hose removal before dismounting the pump. Have some help and pad the hatch edge or you will be "wearing" some rib pain for a week or two. My Techma head flush supply pump is located in the same area but is easy to see which is which.

Thanks for the comments. However, I know where the pump is but can see it only after lifting up the genset cover in the cockpit. When I remove the forward engine cover you can not see the motor because there is an insulated partition present.
Does this wall come out? If so the access to motor should be possible. My R29 is 2009. Thanks again. Jerry

I removed the panel on my 2011 It was not too hard just a few screws On mine the pump is mounted to that panel but on the outside. I guess they changed it for easier access along the way
Good luck
