Front Helm Leakage

After 3 years of hunting, on and off, we finally sourced the issue of fluid loss. The original owner also had an issue which was discovered upon our survey as the reservoir was low when we purchased back in June 2017. Never could source it until now. The mechanic on the job was floored as no gap seems to exist but as no fluid was ever visible on the pump or the lines etc no one thought to pull the helm pump. I had explained to Ralf at Fluid Motion my problem and he said to look there for phantom leakage as there is a void where fluid could escape into that really is not visible. Bingo.

So folks you now know about this phantom void should you have an otherwise undiscoverable fluid loss source at the front helm.
