Fuel additive

I am convinced that diesel fuel additives are a good thing. All the products that I have looked at in Westmarine and elsewhere come in bottles designed to treat large tanks. Even the small, 32 oz, bottles of FPPF are able to treat 375 gallons of fuel. Sure I could pour one-tenth of a bottle into the tank at a typical fuel stop. But 3.2 oz of anything added at the top of a long fill pipe is not likely to be carried effectively all the way to the tank. Does anyone know of a similar product that is not so concentrated?

I would suggest pouring the additive in before adding the fuel. That way it would be mixed by the flowing fuel into your tank.

Yep, I use one ounce of FPPF to 10 gallons of fuel and pour it in before I add the fuel.

Stanadyne. I purchase it through Amazon and it comes in 8oz bottle which treats thirty gallons. Use it in both the tug and my Silverado Duramax. Add prior to fuel.

I get Stanadyne in a case of six half-gallons, much less expensive than the small bottles. Add before fueling up. Seems to do a great job on my Cummins truck, and Volvo boat (6000 hours so far).
