After owning Synergy for four years the mystery of fuel found dripping from the rear of boat has been solved. The 1 inch and a half fill hose was found to have two cuts part way through. could have been from original install or rubbing in contact with original holding tank. The previous owner had removed the holding tank when an Air Head compositing head was installed. With the tank out it provided additional storage on the shelf the tank sat on.When I inspected the hose I noticed leak.By placing cushions on the engine I was able to slide head first onto the shelf and reach the cut. After cutting the hose all the way through I installed a coupling and clamped the two ends.
I am submitting this report in conjunction with the posting about rating your boats quality of build by rating 1-10.My rating was based on the difficulty of accessing system components other than that I would have rated her a 10. The Yanmar has 2200 hrs. and runs great.By the way we love the AirHead if it is possible to love a toilet.

Did an odor cause you to look for the leak or was there visual evidence of it? I am encouraged by the hours on your boat. Nice to know that there is still a lot of life left in my boat.
Thanks for posting

Thanks for the interest.I suspected a leak when I kept finding traces of fuel in the bilge. It was so slight that there was no oder. After further thinking about the cause of the cuts in the hose it occurred to me the cuts were possibly made when the holding tank hold down straps were cut .
